Eligibility
Foreign students with a high school diplomas are eligible for undergraduate programs.

Foreign students with Bachelor’s degrees are eligible for Master programs; and those with Master’s degrees are eligible for Doctoral programs.

 

Foreign students who have completed their Bachelor’s Degree (or above) in Taiwan and wish to apply for higher education are required to present their diploma and official transcripts and follow the application procedure.

 

Foreign students who have been expelled from other universities in R.O.C. (Taiwan) are not eligible to apply. Any violation of this regulation will result in the withdrawal of admission. If a student wishes to transfer from another university in Taiwan, he or she should still apply as a new student, and notify the original university according to their rules.

 

If a student fulfill the following statuses, who are eligible to apply as a foreign student.

  1. The applicant has a foreign nationality and do not have ROC (Taiwan) nationality.
  2. The applicant has dual nationalities and one of it is ROC (Taiwan), but he/she has never registered for household in Taiwan. At the same time,he/she has been constantly staying in overseas for consecutive 6 years (8 years to medical, dental, and Chinese medicine applicants) immediately prior to this application. “Constantly staying” indicates that the applicant has not stayed in Taiwan for over 120 days each year.
  3. The applicant had the ROC (Taiwan) nationality but it has been more than eight years since the date on which his/her ROC (Taiwan) nationality was revoked by approval of the Ministry of the Interior. The lapse time is counted up till August 1 in the year he/she is seeking admission. At the same time, he/she has been constantly staying in overseas for 6 years (8 years to medical, dental, and Chinese medicine applicants).
  4. The applicant has never registered to the universities/colleges in Taiwan as an overseas Chinese student.
  5. The applicant is not of Hong Kong, Macau or People's Republic of China nationality.
  6. The applicant has not been expelled by a university or college or with drop-out records due to failure in conduct grades, academic grades, or being indicted guilty by the criminal law in ROC (Taiwan).
  7. The applicant should has Chinese ability. And has to pass all subjects in the original school.

Semester Period
Each academic year begins on August 1 and ends on July 31 of the following year. First semester classes usually begin in mid- or late-September, and second semester classes begin in late February of the following year.

 

How to apply
Applications can be submitted via postal service. All application forms should be submitted to Admission Section. Application deadline of first semester on June 10, and second semester on December 10.

  1. A completed application form(attached with a recent photograph).
  2. The highest-level certificate or equivalent academic attainment and transcript issued by an international education institution (these documents must be translated into Chinese or English) by one of the following two methods:
    *having the diploma authenticated by an ROC representative office in the country where the document is issued.
    *having the diploma mailed to NTSU directly from the issuing institution. The diploma must be in a sealed, official envelope from the issuing institution and bear the institution's official seal.
  3. A financial statement indicating sufficient funds for staying in Taiwan: Please select one of the following methods of proof:
    *One photocopy of a financial statement issued by a financial institution within the past three months. The statement must be on the financial institution's official letterhead and mailed to NTSU in an official, sealed envelope.
    *One photocopy of an authenticated financial statement issued within the past three months. The authentication must be done by the ROC representative office in the country of the institution which issued the financial statement. 
    *One photocopy of a financial statement issued by a financial institution in Taiwan within the past three months.
    *If the financial statement provided is not in the applicant's name, a financial guarantee is also required from the sponsor. Financial statements issued outside of Taiwan must be authenticated by an ROC representative office in the country of the institution which issued the statement.
    *Proof of scholarship.
  4. Application fee (the same as the registration fee for taking examinations for entrance to individual programs or institutes of this college in the same academic year that the applicant has applied for admission.)

 In addition to tuition fees and housing costs, cost of living expenses of a full-time student are estimated to be around NT$7,000 to NT$9,000 per month. Book expenses vary from course to course. The cost for books is expected to be around NTD4,000 to NTD10,000 per semester.
